The School Nurse program is open to students who currently possess an unencumbered WV RN licensure (BSN prepared) or are in their last semester of a BSN program. Completion of the School Nurse certification program allows the baccalaureate prepared RN to serve as a school nurse in a Pre-K through adult setting. Interested students should contact the Dean of the College of Nursing or the Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Performance.The requirements are as follows.

1. An active unencumbered RN license in WV.
2. Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. 
3. Complete  EDUC 2200 - Introduction to Education  
4. Acceptable scores on the CORE Reading, Writing and Mathematics tests
5. Completion of NURS 4441  with a grade of “C” or higher.
