SOCY 3396 - Sociological Theory and Application Credit Hours: 3 A study of the historical development of modern sociological thought with a focus on its application to problems historical and contemporary. Students will learn about the process of generating theory and using theory to explain social phenomena. Students will also learn to apply theory to identify and resolve individual and social problems, connecting to institutions of interest to sociologists.
