GEOL 2300 - Environmental Geology Credit Hours: 4 Lecture/Lab Hours: Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab per week This course explores the application of geologic principles to everyday environmental problems. The three segments of the course cover geological hazards, including landslides and earthquakes; the effects of geology and geochemistry on human health; and effects of human activities such as mining and energy production on Earth and its inhabitants.
Prerequisite(s): GEOL 1101
