PSYC 2270 - Introduction to Social Work Credit Hours: 3 This course is an introduction to the profession of social work and the philosophical, societal and organizational contexts within which professional social work activities are conducted. This course provides the opportunity for students to explore their interest in and potential for a careerin social work. It introduces the knowledge, skills and values of social work as a profession and explores the role of social workers within the broad area of social welfare and social services. This course emphasizes the value base of social work practice and its commitment to social and economic justice. Same Course As: SOCY 2270
