MUSI 2206 - Introduction to Music Literature and Research Methods

A chronological survey of the history and literature of Western art music, designed for the music major and minor, covering major developments in music history from antiquity to present. The purpose of the course is to provide a broad understanding of key styles and forms, as well as to introduce contemporary music research methods.
