Applied Private Pilot Minor

This minor program of study offers students a survey of basic skills, knowledge, and proficiencies necessary to achieve licensure to operate as a private pilot through an FAA approved part 141 aviation program. This is a highly regulated educational process through the FAA, and students must pass an FAA knowledge test and a flight proficiency practical exam with an approved FAA exaimer to recieve a private pilot certificate. Additional coursework provides emphasis on air traffic control procedures and meteorology as it applies to aeronautics. Students must meet third-class FAA medical examination by an FAA approved doctor and commit to the expectations of the flight staff to be successful in this minor program of study. A seperate application to this program is required, and additional fees assesessed.
