NURS 1201 - Mental Health Nursing Across the Lifespan Credit Hours: 3 Lecture/Lab Hours: 2 hours class, 1-hour clinical per week This course focuses on common mental health problems of patients across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on developing the spirit of inquiry, nursing judgment, professional identity and human flourishing in the nurse’s role caring for patients with mental health concerns across the lifespan. This course stresses self-awareness, therapeutic communication, intra-professional and interpersonal collaborative relationships.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the LPN to ASN program, PSYC 1101 , ENGL 1101 Corequisite(s): NURS 1200 NURS 1206
