NURS 4410 - Community Health Nursing Credit Hours: 5 Lecture/Lab Hours: 3 hours class, 60 clinical project contact hours per semester This course focuses on the theories and principles underlying current community health nursing practice. Students explore the reciprocal relationships among individuals, families, and populations as they relate to health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, utilization of resources, team work, critical thinking, cultural competence, and community nursing. Community experiences allow student to practice providing patient-centered care
Prerequisite(s): NURS 3360 and NURS 4400 . NURS 3360 and NURS 4400 may be taken concurrently. Program: Instructor approval required. Active, unencumbered registered nursing license required.
