Strategic Leadership, B.S.

The Bachelor of Science in Strategic Leadership (BSSL) at Fairmont State University is designed as an adult degree completion program offered entirely online. This program provides an opportunity for individuals who have previously earned an associate degree or who possess 60 or more transferable college credits from accredited institutions to obtain a bachelor’s degree with a focus on strategic leadership. Graduates of the BSSL program will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue leadership roles in various sectors, including business, government, non-profit, and education. Admission Requirements

Applicants to the BSSL program must:

  • Possess an associate degree from a regionally accredited institution or have at least 60 transferable college credits.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Be in good standing at the last institution attended.

Students without an associate degree must be at least five years out of high school or equivalent and/or at least 23 years of age.

Curriculum

The BSSL program requires the completion of 10 core courses (30 credit hours) in strategic leadership, along with general education and elective courses to meet the 120-credit hour requirement for a bachelor’s degree. The core courses are designed to be completed in a structured rotation, allowing students to finish the program in as little as one year if attending full-time.
