MUSI 3305 - Ethnomusicology


Credit Hours: 3
This course explores the music of the world with a focus on cultural and social contexts. Students will learn about musical meaning, musical communication, and tradition in Western and non-Western cultures, and the ways in which globalization impacts music-making. Students will learn ethnographic methods, conduct ethnographic research, and complete a final paper based on their research.
