EDUC 3333 - Assessment and Reading Improvement Credit Hours: 3 This course emphasizes the use of various assessments to evaluate students in the five critical areas of reading instruction (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension). Utilizing previously learned curriculum, content, methods and materials of effective literacy and language arts instruction in the elementary classroom, candidates will administer assessments, analyze the results, and design a program of study for reading improvement based on the findings.
