SPAN 2202 - Intermediate Spanish II Credit Hours: 3 The fourth and last course of the basic language program, this course is a continuation of SPAN 2201 . The course emphasizes the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for effectively communicating in Spanish at the intermediate level within a cultural-based context. At the end of this course students should have attained a skill level of intermediate in all four skills mentioned above, the communicative modes (Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational), and the five goals (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities) recommended by the Proficiency Guidelines classifications of the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Students participate in pair, small-group and whole-class activities that focus on the meaningful and accurate communication of information in the target language. The class is conducted entirely in Spanish.
