POLI 3333 - Espionage, Counterintelligence and Strategic Deception Credit Hours: 3 This course examines the role that espionage, counterintelligence, and strategic deception play in US national security. It will define these terms, examine their “tradecraft” and explore their strengths and weaknesses. The course will address issues such as why people commit treason, the psychological relationship between the Case Officer and Asset, and the moral implications of using these tools to advance US national security.
