NSIS 3335 - Congress and National Security Credit Hours: 3 This course will examine the role of Congress in developing and shaping American national security policy. It will discuss Congress’ formal and informal national security powers; the interplay among Congress, the presidency, and the courts; the impact of domestic and partisan politics on Congress’ national security role; as well as the impact of special interest groups.
