ENGL 3377 - Literature of the Enlightenment Credit Hours: 3 This course examines social and intellectual developments of the European Enlightenment through writers representing the perspectives of both the “Ancients” (such as Dryden, Behn, Pope, and Swift) and the “Moderns” (such as Congreve, Defoe, Haywood, and Voltaire).
