Credit Hours: 4 Lecture/Lab Hours: 3 hours of lecture and one 3-hour laboratory session per week In this course, microorganisms (primarily bacteria) will be viewed from several perspectives; as pathogens, as components of ecosystems, and as components of industrial processes. Techniques for culturing and identifying bacteria will be presented. The course includes opportunities for students to design and conduct laboratory exercises.
