NSIS 5530 - National Security Law Explore the distribution of national security powers among the three coordinate branches of government - Legislative, Executive and Judicial. Determine laws and policies governing important critical issues in the national security arena, and examine the U.S. Intelligence Community and legal framework governing the actions taken by the US government. Analyze and evaluate the Constitution and a range of national security-related statutes, case law, treaties, and commentaries, in light of their own experiences (both past and potential) as national security and intelligence professionals. Post-9/11 legislation, and subsequent court challenges form the basis for an examination of how national security law is developing.
