Shared Credit, Dual or Additional Master’s Degree

University policy permits students to pursue more than one master’s degree. For each degree program, a separate application is required, along with payment of a nonrefundable application fee.

Students seeking multiple master’s degrees must complete at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the credit hours required for each additional degree program. Specific academic units may impose higher credit requirements. With departmental approval, students may apply a maximum of 15 credit hours toward both degrees. However, this shared credit must still meet the minimum requirement of 75% unique credit hours for each program. This approval must be documented in writing.

When nearing progam completion, students must submit separate graduation degree applications for each degree program.
